Honesty is directly proportional to integrity. The integrity of a person determines their character and how they act in certain situations, or more so how they respond. Having values in life make life more meaningful because of the guidelines one has to follow, out of choice, to lead the life they want. Among other morals and values, honesty is a fundamental key in most, if not all, aspects of life; for example, having good relationships with family and friends depend on it, otherwise, the relationship has no solid ground because honesty isn't there as the foundation. When getting to know someone honest answers are usually assumed, and after a while that honesty laid the ground work for a friendship or personal relationship. My parallel correlation for honesty and integrity is because when a person is considered honest then they are perceived as a respectable person by society, on the other hand, when a person is known for dishonesty then their character will be known for being unsound or guile. 99.9% of the time honesty will get people to a better place in life, whether is be admitting certain problems one has, or even a crime committed. Honesty is the key to having integrity within oneself, that's true, honestly.
P.S. The last 0.1% are the white lies, like when a pregnant wife asks her husband if she is a bit over weight....
